XXXXyon Resort requires an energetic and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Steward to join its friendly and fast-paced Kitchen team on a casual basis.
Ideally you will have had some experience working in a commercial kitchen. It is not essential that you desire to be a chef, however a positive attitude and willingness to work under the direction of the senior chefs is necessary.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the kitchen is always in a clean and hygienic environment;
- Maintain cleanliness of cooking utensils, service crockery and utensils;
- Operate and use an industrial dishwasher;
- Maintain dishwashing equipment and utensils ensuring safe and correct operation, reporting any malfunctions;
- Assist with cleaning other food and beverage outlets as required and
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
Position Detail
- Employment Basis: Full Time
- Pay Standards: HIGA Grade 2
Monday to Friday – $20.22 - Saturday – $25.28
- Sunday – $32.35
- Public Holidays – $45.500
To be successful in this role you must have enthusiasm, be energetic and have a ‘can-do attitude’. This position will operate across a 7-day rotating roster. Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, day and evenings is highly regarded.
