Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, your duties will include:
- Cleaning and servicing resort guest rooms to the highest standards
- Making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities
- Vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining room cleanliness
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
- Reporting maintenance issues and lost property
- Ensuring all rooms meet resort quality standards
- Restocking housekeeping carts and supply rooms
- Following health and safety procedures
- Working efficiently to meet daily room quotas
- Providing friendly service when interacting with guests
You'll be working as part of a supportive housekeeping team in a professional resort environment, contributing to exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Visa: Valid Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417 or 462) with minimum 6 months remaining from start date
- English Level: Intermediate or higher (ability to understand instructions and communicate with supervisors)
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding work including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Availability: Must be available to start March 1st, 2026
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality
Desirable:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (training provided for the right candidates)
- Attention to detail and pride in your work
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
Employment Details
Work Hours: Casual position with approximately 30-38 hours per week (hours may vary based on resort occupancy)
Pay Rates (HIGA GSA 2 Award):
