Key Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, your duties will include:

  • Cleaning and servicing resort guest rooms to the highest standards
  • Making beds, changing linens, and restocking amenities
  • Vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining room cleanliness
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
  • Reporting maintenance issues and lost property
  • Ensuring all rooms meet resort quality standards
  • Restocking housekeeping carts and supply rooms
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Working efficiently to meet daily room quotas
  • Providing friendly service when interacting with guests

You'll be working as part of a supportive housekeeping team in a professional resort environment, contributing to exceptional guest experiences.


Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Visa: Valid Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417 or 462) with minimum 6 months remaining from start date
  • English Level: Intermediate or higher (ability to understand instructions and communicate with supervisors)
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding work including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Availability: Must be available to start March 1st, 2026
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic and punctuality

Desirable:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (training provided for the right candidates)
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends

Employment Details

Work Hours: Casual position with approximately 30-38 hours per week (hours may vary based on resort occupancy)

Pay Rates (HIGA GSA 2 Award):

Accommodation: Staff accommodation available for approximately $125 per week (deducted from wages)
